Hi I'm Noni but my foster mom calls me Noni Nu Nu because she says I'm going to get a nu home and nu life. At my old house all that I heard about was something call mortgage and foreclosure and everyone was really tense all the time. You know us Jack Russell's don't like it tense. Then one day this nice lady who lived next door to me came and took me to the Vet. I had not been in a long time and it was scary. Then the nice Lady Kerri took me on a long car ride and just gave me to my foster mom, Bev. I was totally upset for a couple of days because there were all these boy dogs! I thought I was going to have to give some puppies again! My old house did that more than once. They took my puppies and gave them away.

The Vet said I wasn't looked after properly. So now I have to got back to the Vet to have surgery before I can go to a "nu" home. Bev says the vet will "spay" me so I won't have any more puppies. Thank goodness, that's hard work for a 10 y/o girl. I also have to have a little lump taken off my belly and some big "warts" (I can't see them but it hurts if I bump one on something) and I have to have a "Dental". That must have something to do with my mouth cause when I give kisses, Bev "OOO stinky breath. But that will be better after the dental." I don't mind my foster home now but I really would like a home with out all the boys. Maybe just 1 nice boy dog. I'm very small but I don't mind big dogs or cats. I used to lives with a lab and a cat. If you know of someone who would like a new friend who loves to snuggle and give kisses, Bev says I'll be ready to go about the end of January, maybe sooner.

Noni Mar 27, 2009   This is Noni writing from my "nu" home here in W ildwood Mo, Phew!! What a long, long ride home from W.Va.... but we had lots of reststops, water and snacks, and then I took some naps in my own bed in the back seat. When we finally reached home I gave it a very good investigation and made sure I knew where my bed is, which door I use to go out and best of all where my food and water bowls will be placed. My new friends are nice and I feel very comfortable with them and I know this is my permanent home - we are finding things out about each other every day... for instance they didn't know i like to ride in a little red wagon until we passed one in the garden and I jumped in and waited for a lift!
Feb 17, 2009   Remember me, Noni Nu Nu? Well it has come true! I am going to a "Nu" home to begin a "Nu" life. A wonderful lady in St Louis, Mo. saw me on the web site and wants me. Isn't that wonderful! Her name is Elizabeth and I will be going to her home this coming weekend, I hope. That is a long way to go but a bunch of Russell Rescue volunteers are going to help me get there. I will let you know how it comes out. Maybe my new Mom will send the next update.
Jan 25, 2009   Hi, It's me Noni-Nu-Nu again. Boy, I feel so much better. I finally got those itchy stitches out and I get to roll around and just feel good. My foster mom says I'm not "frankendoggie" any more. Whatever that means. I don't care because I get a snuggle with it. My foster Mom also said that my belly lump test came back just fine so we don't have to worry about it any more and because I'm spade I should never have one again. So now I'm already to be adopted and live with my "Nu" family. My foster mom says I have my heart on top of my head so everyone can see how lovey I am. I'm very little, only 10lbs and would love to snuggle with you. Does anyone have room for me?
Jan 18, 2009

Hi it's me Noni Nu Nu. I sure feel like a different dog but not a new one. I'm sore all over. But my foster mom Bev says it will be better in no time and I'll feel like a young girl again. My mouth already feels so much better (and smells better too). I had to have 4 teeth removed because the vet said, "Those roots are rotten." So now I'm antibiotics and pain pills for a while til I'm all healed. I also got spayed (No more puppies, yeah!), and had 3 warts removed and 1 breast tumor removed.

The Vet did an x-ray and bloodwork before the sugery to make sure I was otherwise healthy and that the tumor had not gone anywhere else. It was all good. We still must wait for the results of the tumor biopsy but the vet said it looked very hopeful that now that I'm spayed, that I will have no more tumors. So in about 10 days, I'll be ready for my new home. I'm very friendly, love to give people nose kisses, and to sleep by my person. I could get along with other dogs but I'd love to be an only dog or with just one nice boy dog. If you think I'm the dog for you, please put your application in to Russell Rescue or to find out more about me call my foster mom Bev Cruz at 703-266-1014.
