Hello, my name is Abbott. I am now in my forever home with my new Mom and Dad and big sister Race, another Jack Russell. I'm three years old now and came from the Austin Animal Control Facility where I was rescued by the two nice ladies that live in Seguin, Texas and run the Jack Russell Rescue for the area.
It seems nobody wanted me because I'm so small. I'm only 8 inches tall! At first, they thought that I might be part Dachund. My new Dad had owned then when he was just a pup and said that was okay. Well, since I've come to live with my new family, he says that he's never known a wiener dog that acts like me so I'm probably just undersized because I'm sure a JRT!!
At first we had some problems as I remembered that men weren't always nice to me and I was afraid of him. I loved my new Mom from the beginning and have wanted to play with my sister always even though she's kind of old. But I've learned that Dad's okay and now we play fetch every day. I get to go for walks and I've even learned to sit up pretty by watching Race. I have a big back yard with lots of squirrels and all the food and fresh water I can eat and drink. My new parents seem to think I'm small because I didn't get enough as a pup, but I'll never go hungry again. When I'm tired of playing I curl up wherever my people are just like a pill bug and keep their feet warm. They say I owe everything to the two nice ladies, Robyn and Sandra, cause they never would have found me in Austin but we're so glad they called Russell Rescue in Seguin, so we could find each other.
Now, they call me Abbott the Wonder Dog, because they're always wondering what I'll do next.
Yours truly,
Abbott TWD from his forever home in Texas.
A little know fact, Abbott was named after another rescue agent, Stephanie Abbott of Pipe Creek, Texas. |
