Rest in Peace, Mango.

We have some sad news to share with you.  We have lost our little rescue dog, Mango.  He was adopted from Russell Rescue in the Fall of 2020.  He developed a lump on the side of his cheek and it turned out to be inoperable cancer.  He was lost and wandering around the streets of San Antonio, Texas in the spring of 2020.  The kind young man who picked him up asked us to take him.  Robyn and Sandra, two of our long time volunteers/fosters, picked him up and he went into foster care with our foster Kelly in San Leon, Texas.  He was adopted by a wonderful woman, Carina, who made him the center of her world.  Despite all the love and vet care the world could offer, Mango could not stay.  He crossed the Rainbow Bridge in Carina’s arms on May 12th, 2022.  Go with God, Mango.  Your Russell Rescue family and your mom will see you again one day.
